LINGVOBALT attends Meet Central Europe for the second time
On October 10-11, LINGVOBALT Managing Director Aleksandra Drublionienė attended the regional conference Meet Central Europe 2019, held in Prague. That was the second event organized by independent translation industry associations from Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia (the first one took place in 2018 in Budapest). On 4 October 2019 Vilnius University Faculty of Philology held a conference "Translation in a modern society: the changing profile of a translator, ethics, expectations" organized by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Translation and the Institute for Literary, Cultural and Translation Studies, Vilnius University. LINGVOBALT managing director meets the Governor of Pennsylvania Thomas Wolf
On 12 September 2019 the Managing Director Aleksandra Drublioniene participated in a business meeting with the Governor of Pennsylvania Thomas Wolf, which took place in Vilnius. The meeting was organised by AmCham Lithuania together with the U.S. Embassy in Lithuania and Enterprise Lithuania. Business opportunities in Pennsylvania and the US became the focus of attention of the event. LINGVOBALT interpreter assisted cultural heritage specialists in sharing their experience
On May 7–9 LINGVOBALT translation company's interpreter participated in the Trakai-based project "Cultural Heritage – Guarantee of Freedom for Human and State – Experience of Lithuania and Ukraine" organised and implemented by Trakai region municipality administration. During the project our company provided translation and interpreting services enabling to convey good practice and experience in the area of cultural heritage objects restoration and adaptation. On April 24-26, Aleksandra Drublionienė, the managing director of LINGVOBALT, participated in T-UPDATE 2019, the annual conference of the European Union of Associations of Translation Companies (EUATC). The event gathered around 150 participants from Europe, the USA and Asia. LINGVOBALT participates in European Language Industry Survey 2019
This has been the first year Lithuania has participated in the European Language Industry Survey. LINGVOBALT as well as other members of the Association of Lithuanian Translation Companies expressed their opinion on the main concerns of the European language industry. The survey provided insights into language industry activities, operational practices, relationship between independent professionals and language companies, market developments, etc. One of the subjects covered was clients’ expectations.
