Last week Lingvobalt CEO Aleksandra Drublioniene participated in MemoQfest, one of the largest in-person language industry events since 2019. Being held at the unique venue in Budapest, it was attended by more than 250 translation and localisation industry professionals from all over the world. Its 3-day programme included insightful masterclasses and presentations as well as active networking sessions as part of the impressive social programme. Recent language industry trends, developments and technologies became the focus of this brilliant event. The participants were provided with great opportunities to find out about translation workflow optimization tips as well as to learn how productivity boosters could help them to grow. A lot of attention was also given to machine translation (MT) and MT post-editing, as in 2021 the global MT market already reached approximately USD 440 million and a further strong growth is forecast in the next several years, making translation companies to re-consider their operation models. The event provided us with a wonderful opportunity not only to learn about the latest industry trends and best practices, but also to network and exchange ideas with other conference attendees. We believe that acquired knowledge will help us to offer even more effective solutions to our customers and partners, solving their translation and localization needs for Baltic and other European languages.
