On 29 November 2018 LINGVOBALT participated in the translation conference held in Vilnius. The topic of the event was translation and interpreting technologies and how translation companies, state institutions and freelancers can adapt to rapid technological developments. The conference was organised by the European Commission and the Association of the Lithuanian Translation Companies, the member of which we are. That was the first event which had gathered more than 130 freelance translators, editors and interpreters, as well as representatives of translation companies, state and educational institutions. Aleksandra Drublioniene, the CEO of LINGVOBALT, presented the key concerns of translation companies in Lithuanian and took part in the panel discussion on how to improve collaboration between freelancers, translation agencies and state institutions. Slido, an audience interaction tool, was used during the event. It helped to engage the audience with live polls, crowdsource the best questions and provide insights. The conference was streamed live to YouTube (here you can find the morning session https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPy5xZIuSEs&t=598s, and the afternoon session can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5xwyjpnqY4).
